Provenance: from the Goodson bequest, listed in Clement 1747 as 'Mottet Senr. Alessandro Grandi No. 35 / Venetia 1628', and in Malchair 1787 (f. 8) as 'Latin Motetts for a single Voice with a Bass Aless. Grandi / unbound, very ragged. Venice 1628'.

Upright format, 327 x 223 mm. Early 20th century binding; Malchair's description suggests that no earlier binding-material has been removed, and a tear in the upper left-hand corner of the titlepage may account for the absence of Clement's number-label. No early bookplate. 19th-century shelfmark: K.4.79; later Mus. 86*.
